McCain, Obama spar on GI bill
McCain is going to burn his POW credibility by permitting himself to be identified as a Naval Academy stereotype who doesn't understand you can honorably leave the military. I think Senator Harkin fired the first ranging shot, and barrages are coming.
Also, booya GI Bill.

I also find it offensive (but not surprising) that McCain chooses to reject Obama's criticism not on the basis that it's wrong, but on the basis that Obama "did not feel it was his responsibility to serve our country in uniform"
Damn right it wasn't.
It's every person's obligation to do something that makes their world (country, whatever) a better place, but it's a very narrow view to say that military service is the only way to do that.
Who are you, John McCain, to tell me that your military service is better than my public defender service? Perhaps I should reject everything you say about the legal system, on the basis that you did not feel it was your duty to serve your country in the courtroom.
